A number of announcements:

We are scattering this week. There will be morning prayer on Monday morning at the church from 6:00 - 7:00 am. Come when you can, leave when you have to to get to work.

This is the week of Seven. We encourage you to attend as many of the evenings of prayer as possible to engage with the Portland Church in praying for our city. The website for the schedule is sevenpdx.org. Call a friend in community, invite them to go with you.

I emailed you an invitation from Takethemameal.com to arrange meals for the Schaefers. If you didn't get it, check your spam folder, or let me know and I'll get you on the schedule.

Lastly, LADIES: Kristen has organized a time for all the women in the church to get together and get to know others outside of our own communities. The gathering is this Saturday, October 6th, 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm at the church. If you can make it, I highly, highly encourage it. Kristen also had the good recommendation of coming to the gathering with some thoughts on times during the following week that you might be available to get together with someone you connect with during the evening. I am so disappointed that we'll be out of town, because I always find time with other women to be refreshing and renewing. I'll look forward to hearing about the connections you make!
